This week I chose to highlight the chart of International Isotopes Inc. (OTCBB: INIS). INIS is in a powerful long-term up-trend, making higher highs and higher lows above a rising 200-day moving average (the red line on the chart above). Relative Strength Differential (RSD), our proprietary indicator for selecting stock in super-strong up-trends, is well above the 25% threshold line, indicating INIS is far outperforming the down-trending S&P 500 and is therefore likely to sustain its up-trend higher and likely to continue outperforming the market.
The up-trend in INIS has been nice, with slow sideways corrections and nice, consistent rallies pushing the stock higher and higher.
The last time INIS corrected, it went sideways between 0.62 and 0.74, roughly. Therefore, in the case of a pullback, INIS should find support at the 0.74 level. Currently, INIS is once again undergoing consolidation after hitting another new high of 1.13 on January 10th.
With the strength INIS is showing, the current consolidation is likely to result in a higher low and another rally to new highs. However, with the selloff going on in the market, there is no guarantee that INIS won't get dragged down with the rest of the market. Therefore, the best course of action to take with INIS is the same course of action to take with all other stocks - wait for the right setup to materialize in a stock, then buy it, and get out if it fails to go up from there and instead drops lower and makes a lower low. In the meantime, this is a good stock to keep on your watchlist.
